GWEN COWLEY 

Gwen joined Hopewell as a student placement in Winter of 2009. Gwen helped to organize and facilitate events during Eating Disorder Awareness Week. She then became trained to delivery Hopewell's outreach presenation to local high schools. This summer she plans on continuing her volunteer work with us by helping out with the HOPE Volleyball Summerfest.

Gwen is heading into her 4th year in Biochemistry and Psychology at the University of Ottawa.  Her busy program has provided her with the information and resources needed to continue her involvement with the community.  In Gwen's own words: "I enjoy working with people of all ages. As a summer day camp supervisor, I not only bring my experiences with youth to my presentations and involvement at Hopewell, but my experiences and knowledge that I have obtained at Hopewell also help me in this position. Hopewell has provided me the opportunity to "pay it forward," share ideas and learn from others."
