Adrienne specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and comorbid issues including: depression, anxiety, and relational concerns. Therapeutic methods are customized to each client; often incorporating a cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness approach. Adrienne is a Registered Yoga Instructor, thus therapy may also incorporate postures, breath work, and meditation (upon request). Adrienne provides a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment for her clients. She is supervised by a Registered Psychologist - fees may be covered by health insurance plans. Dr. Natalie Rubin, C. Psych
Dr. Natalie Rubin obtained her BA from McGill University in 1988. She worked in research in women’s issues prior to earning a scholarship to the University of Hartford where she earned her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1995. She has a general private practice seeing a wide range of problems in late adolescence and adults including mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, adjustment and self-esteem issues, sexual abuse, eating disorders, relationship and parenting issues, stress and anger management and trauma.
Ottawa Couple and Family Institute
The Ottawa Couple and Family Institute is a private institute providing individual, couple and family counselling. The type of therapy offered is called Emotionally Focused Therapy, which has shown to be effective in treating and healing distressed relationships and helping to create stronger bonds between family members. Regional Centre For Eating Disorders, Ottawa General Hospital, Psychiatry Department
The Centre serves the needs of adult patients in the Ottawa-Carleton region and Eastern Ontario, who suffer from serious eating disorders. It offers a comprehensive treatment that provides a contained and structured environment with therapy offered almost exclusively in a group format. Patients are referred to the Centre’s Consultation Service by their family physicians.
