I love the similarities between the struggles of the patient and the ones who love them. the daughter and mother become socially withdrawn. my mother didnt know how to help me, and in turn was struggling with the stress of trying to 'cure' me. My aating disorder was amazingly resilient to outside help because of how skeptical I was of others' intentions. I knew I needed to get better if I wanted a future of any kind, but it was hard to let go and trust someone else with my life, literally. Since recovering for two years now, I am studying to become a Nutritional Consultant. I am thinking of going for a degree in counselling in order to work in an ED treatment facility to give back to girls an opportunity that was given to me. Thanks for this vid, it really clicked with me. :)
