Nutrition and Children
Does anyone have any suggestions for encouraging my daughter to eat a variety of foods? She always prefers eating sweets to things like fruit and vegetables. I'm worried about labeling food "good" and "bad," as I don't want her to feel guilty or worry about eating foods that are "bad."
She is nine years old, and is becoming more concerned about things like body image. Probably mostly because of other girls at school...

I found that when I left a platter of veggies and/or cut up fruit on the kitchen counter when the kids came in from school or from play they grazed on those snacks as they shared some of their stories, without seeming to notice what they were doing.
