“Stepping out for Hopewell” 2009 saw Ottawa’s movers and shakers in the media, business and diplomatic world modeling exquisite fashions from ANIK Boutique, Harry Rosen and Pat Flesher Furs in a celebration of every body. The evening was a tangible way to project Hopewell’s mission to help prevent severe eating issues by promoting positive body image, healthy eating and active living. Hosted at the elegant Royal Ottawa Golf Club, the 155 guests were treated to a richly diversified selection of silent and three live auction items, delectable dining and a fabulous parade of designer fashions, modeled by some of Ottawa’s most notable personalities. Thanks to the generosity of community sponsors and private donors, the allure of the auction table and raffle prizes, the evening raised $81,000 for Hopewell’s support services and ongoing programs. Sincerest thanks to all the models, auction contributors, volunteers, organizers, guests and sponsors and donors who contributed to the tremendous success of the event.
